Short range indoor wireless connections are supported using WiFi. They provide ease of access, and seamless operation with enhanced security. RIO xR3 units automatically turn off the WiFi hot-spot when tech leaves the site.
The RIO xR3 can be equipped with a LTE-M/NB-IoT modem to support cellular communications links. The M.2 form factor modem supports two SIM cards, providing increased reliability and flexibility.
The RIO xR3 can be configured to send alarms/alerts via satellite. It uses Optima’s proprietary ALARMS UPLINK technology to compress the notifications to stay within tight satellite link data budgets.
The RIO xR3 has one 10BaseT/100BaseTX wired Ethernet port to expedite communications. It is the fastest way to hook up the RIO xR3 to an on-site LAN.
Insert a BiDi SFP module into the RIO xR3 SFP cage and connect directly to a fiber link. This gives users two excellent alternatives to choose from: wired Ethernet or fiber port.
The RIO xR3 has two SIM Garages. Adding crucial redundancy when the primary network is unresponsive. For increased security, the SD Card and SIM cards are behind an access cover.
